In 1984, the EDCNV Board of Directors established a non-profit 501 (c)3 Corporation, Northern Enterprises, Inc. with a mission/purpose: "To raise the economic, educational and social levels of residents of the area by stimulating employment and expanding opportunities for developing enterprises"  A six-person Board of Directors oversees the three projects (Vermont Food Venture Center, North-Link, NEK North-Link) operating under this corporation.
