The Economic Development Fund of Northern Vermont, Inc. (The Fund) provides credit financing for ventures that contribute to economic development.  The Fund seeks investments that increase employment, stabilize cyclical industries, improve wage scales and strengthen industrial sectors.

                                OTHER FUND SERVICES

In certain instances, The Fund can provide guarantees for loans made by other lenders.  Guarantees are intended to reduce lender exposure, but cannot be used in conjunction with similar state or federal programs.

The Fund makes loans to local and regional development organizations.  Eligible non-profits may use the funds to provide the "equity" portion of VEDA packages or for the acquisition and development of industrial/commercial facilities.

The Fund maintains a small technical assistance reserve to help fund professional assistance for existing borrowers.  The reserve is targeted toward resolving problems and assessing the viability of new opportunities.
